A guide to nursing research

Places to Look

Though some groups may report their data online, these following places are the best, most reliable ways to kick off your search!

1) Mabee Library contains general and subject-specific 'ready-reference' resources. Look for general and subject specific encyclopedias almanacs, and statsitical reference materials.

2) ENCORE Library Catalog provides statsitical and demographic resources located in the stacks and online through Mabee. Try searching under subject specific databases.

3) Government departments and agencies contain a large amount of free statsitical and demographic data. Not sure which department or agency collects that data? Use the government manual to look up organizational connections. Agencies provide statistical data in the form of a report, but can also present the information using technology which allows you to generate your own tables or data sets.
