Books not owned by Mabee Library may be borrowed from another library using a service called "interlibrary loan." This service is free to ALL Washburn students, faculty, and staff.
Please allow books to arrive in seven business days and online articles three business days.
Try more than one source for your printed materials.
Books are generally not as current as journal articles, but they provide a more comprehensive coverage of a topic. They are good sources for background and historical information, or for information that is generally accepted in the field.
ENCORE, the library catalog, can be searched to find books, maps, journal titles, CDs, DVDs, microforms and other material located in Mabee Library and 5 other libraries in the city of Topeka.
The regular and oversize book collections are located on the 3rd level. The rare book collection is located on the 1st level in the Washburn Room.
