Holly ONeill [Faculty Profile]

Assistant Professor Director of Forensic Chemical Science

Chemistry

Course Adapted:

The course I adapted was called "Science Success Strategies." It is an entry-level science course that introduces chemistry assuming the students have no science background. I used the OER text Introduction to Chemistry: The Textbook to Chemistry 104 from Forrest Towne Central Oregon Community College, which was adapted by The Saylor Foundation under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 License without attribution as requested by the work’s original creator or licensee.

Student Impact:

It saved them money on a textbook! It was also very simple and well-written!

The Future:

I have thought about compiling material to compose an OER Forensic Chemistry textbook sometime in the future.
